It depends on your current membership. Some games won't let you play online unless you have a gold or higher (if there is a higher, i don't know really) membership, so if you don't have a golden membership, you can't play online for certain games.

∙ 12y agoTry going to account settings and go under the membership part to see if you are still paying the bill for XBOX:LIVE. And if that dosent work try creating a new account and try re-joing XBOX-LIVE again.
