Well if you mean when their on heat...it's not like their sick so just take care of it just as you normally would. Fresh water every day, excersize, food ect.But it might be a good idea to put and old towel or two where it sleeps, because when dogs are on heat they can bleed from you know where.

∙ 12y agoYou can buy special ''nappies'' or ''dog towels'' which keep the dog from dripping all over your house. You should also keep her well away from other dogs and DO NOT let her off the lead on walks until her heat cycle has ended. The last thing the World needs is more unwanted puppies. Heat lasts for around two weeks and happens every six months.

∙ 12y agoIf your dog is in season or in heat you should put a dog diaper on her. Most pet stores sell diapers that are made for dogs and dogs in season. If you are not already planning to breed or mate your dog then you should take her to the vet and get her spayed/neutered. While your dog is in season you should also be very careful to not allow her on the carpet, couch, bed , or anything she can get blood on. The blood that a dog drops from being in heat is usually smelly and can carry some germs plus is hard if not impossible to wash out like all blood.
