Cairn terriers are great dogs but they can be a bit stubborn so regular training is quite important. Just remember- Never yell at your dog or hit them! Also, don't do any more than about 30-40 minutes daily. If you train cairns regularly the results will show.
Not much. They are in the terrier breed so they sholud not eat to much. I would recommend a medium size bowl 2 times a day.
about how much does a cairn terrier cost?
Pet quality should be about $1000. Show quality around $1200 - $1500.
Generally, both male and female cairn terriers will weigh around 13.2-17.6 lbs (6-8 kg).
A lakeland terrier looks similar to an Airedale but much smaller.
Author and royal Oz history series originator Lyman Frank Baum [May 15, 1856-May 6, 1919] didn't include a breed in his description of Toto in the original 1900 book edition of 'The Wizard of Oz'. In Chapter 1 'The Cyclone', readers were presented with "a little black dog, with long, silky hair and small black eyes that twinkled merrily on either side of his funny, wee nose." The illustrations in the book led many to believe that Baum had in mind either a Cairn Terrier, or a Yorkshire Terrier, which was popular at the time of the book's writing. In the beloved 1939 film version of 'The Wizard of Oz', the part of Toto was played by Terry [1933-1944], a Cairn terrier. In the 1985 film 'Return to Oz', the part was played by a Border Terrier.
These dont shed so much: Among my favorites are the Airedale Terrier, Basenji, Bedlington Terrier, Bichon Frise, Bolognese, Border Terrier, Brussels Griffon, Cairn Terrier, Chinese Crested, Cocker Spaniel-Poodle mix, Coton de Tulear, Havanese, Irish Water Spaniel, Kerry Blue Terrier, Labrador Retriever-Poodle mix, Lowchen, Maltese, Poodle (Toy, Miniature, and Standard), Portuguese Water Dog, Puli, Schnauzer (Miniature, Standard, and Giant), Schnauzer-Poodle mix, Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier, Tibetan Terrier, West Highland White Terrier, Wirehaired Fox Terrier, and Yorkshire Terrier.
Norwich terriers are only brown (or have a brown stripe down their back) and have thick wire hair. Cairn Terrier fur is light brown and can have a little black--usually around ears and nose/beard (others are all black), and is much softer and not as dense as a norwich terrier.
A 10 month old Yorkshire Terrier, should be about 3-4 pounds, and so, they should get about 7-10 inches off of the ground.
like 264 pounds
Its mothers milk should suffice.
The Stafford terrier would cost $300 to $1300
if you take them on walks then they shouldn't have to much energy but if you keep them cooped up all day they can be very energetic
