Answer Be polite and tell him the truth, that while you like him as a friend, you'd perfer it stayed that way. That as a friend you adore him, but there can never be anything else between the two of you. By doing it this way, you solve two problems. First he's not likely going to ask you out anymore, and Secondly he will know where he stands with you on an emotional level, that he's never going to date you but can remain your friend if he chooses to do so. If I were in your shoes, this is the way I'd do it.

∙ 10y agowell if you don't like him and you don't want to date him, just tell him that you arnt allowed to. you also could say that you dont want a boyfriend right now. whatever you do, don't reject him in front of people because he will be completely humiliated.
