I have a 96 Camry and the drain plug is metric - I believe it is 14mm. You will need a socket or wrench of the appropriate metric size.
It seems to me I use a 15 mm wrench to remove the engine oil drain plug.
I can't remember exactly but its big (for a drain plug) somewhere around 17 or 19mm.
well for one they do not have a dipstick there is a fill plug by the drain plug you will need a specail tool or take it to a mechanic
It is on the bottom of the oil pan and you simmply take a wrench and unscrew it counterclockwise. On the newer tech 4s the oil plug was combined with the oil filter. It is a bigger plug then it usually is and might even take a special tool. == == No special tool needed, a socket works fine.
8mm square. Now, where do we find the tool?
The manual transmission drain plug is located on the rear of the transmission housing. It is an 8mm hex nut.

The automatic transmission does not have a drain plug. You have to remove the pan to drain. On the manual transmission, you remove the bottom center bolt in the side cover to drain. Just make sure you have the proper tool (3/8 Allen wrench) to remove the fill plug so you can fill it back up.The automatic transmission does not have a drain plug.
