What tools did barbers have in Colonial America?
They used your mom.
Barbers did some of the same things they do now. They cut and trimmed hair and gave shaves. They were also the dentists of the time and would pull teeth that were bothering someone. They even would 'bleed' people, a popular remedy for all sorts of maladies in the time. They also did a thing called blood letting. This is when people open other peoples vanes.
Medieval tools were much like our modern day tools. Iron was widely used and garden tools today are pretty much the same as those used way back then. Scissors were used by the barbers of the day as well as blades used for shaving. The scissors were hand made and were much more crude and rustic than the modern day shiny and very sharp machine created versions.
