It really depends on the hamster. Raisins seem to be a popular favourite and also cheese. Its not a good idea to feed a hamster a lot of cheese though because of the high salt content. You can buy special hamster chocolates which mine seemed to love, but you shouldn't feed them more than 5 a day.
Ya. It's one of my hamsters favourite treats. Yes definitly!! I have a Syrian hamster and I always give him a piece of banana and he eats it.

Yes, it's just another name of calling them:). As well as Golden Hamsters, Syrian hamsters are also sometimes referred to as teddy bear hamsters (long haired syrian hamsters), alien hamsters (hairless syrian hamsters), black bear or european black bear (black syrian hamsters). They are all variations in colour/coat of the same species of hamster. I believe all hamsters are from Syrian so they all have a common ancestry
Syrian hamsters are individual, so they each like different foods. Some like sweet fruit, some like salty hamster treats. But some popular treats are: Strawberries, sunflower seeds, peanuts, apple, cooked egg, bread, hamster treats, spinach, lettuce, pumpkin seeds and broccoli. Be careful not to feed your hamster any citrus fruits or sweets.
