There was no official treaty, rather, the Allies set up the Allied Control Council to oversee the demands that were to be given to Germany and the Axis powers such as reparations, territorial adjustments etc. Europe was then divided into spheres of influence, democracy on the west side, and communism in the east. Where the two areas met was considered the "Iron Curtain", a term coined by Winston Churchill.
