Many states or local governments restrictions on the keeping of wild animals. I do believe however that if you have legal permission to house an armadillo it is allowed however armadillos are nocturnal and will wake up in the night and forage. They also have a musky smell which some people dislike. They can also become aggressive or gain health problems in captivity like any other animal.
If I were you I would check with your local government.

Pet turtles live in forests. Also they can live near ponds. You can not capture pet turtles if it is not your property. Go to a pet store to adopt one. Do not take them out of their home. Please don't harm our animals.
