The tsunami on 26 December 2004, hit different locations at different times. The earthquake which caused the tsunami, hit at one minute before 8:00am. The gigantic wave quickly built up and spread out, extending to thirteen countries. The wave, travelling at up to 800 kilometres per hour, hit the northern regions of the Indonesian island of Sumatra within fifteen minutes; while Sri Lanka, Thailand and the east coast of India were hit between 90 minutes and two hours later. Somalia was struck about seven hours later. Other countries hit included Bangladesh, Malaysia, the Maldives, the Seychelles and the Indian-owned Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Some 8,500 km away, the coastal village of Struisbaai in South Africa, a 1.5 m "high tide" surged onshore about 16 hours after the quake. See related link below.

there have been two major tsunamis in Asia recently; the Boxing Day tsunami 2004 and Japanese in 2011. It is unknown how many tsunamis have occurred in Asia because we haven't been recording these events from the dawn of time.
The two most famous (current) tsunamis are the 2011 Tohoku tsunami in Japan and the 2004 Boxing Day (Sumatra) tsunami. The greatest historical tsunami (a series of them) accompanied the explosion of Krakatoa in August, 1883.
You can reduce effect of tsunami but there is no way you can avoid it for certain, area which are most likely to get hit by tsunami are area near sea and ocean (large amount of water) and area which also has high earthquake zone. If you are not affected by these two factors you are very unlikely to get hit by the tsunami.
Countries do not "immigrate." People immigrate.
Springfield Massachusetts was recently hit by a tornado (possibly two tornadoes) on June 1, 2011
what two plates in the boxing day tsunami 2004 hit together? The Australian and the Eurasion plates moved to form the boxing day tsunami.

it had wiped countries closest to the Indian ocean and the death toll altogether of the boxing day tsunami was a shocking 250,000 people. 2 million people were left homeless. the two worst countries effected were Sri-lanka and Indonasia
Yes, there will be another Tsunami in Japan after the one that recently happened. Being next to where two tectonic plate meet, called a fault line, the will be more earthquakes in Japan, possibly and probably resulting in Tsunamis.
