There is no such conflict. Nobody claims to "own" the Middle East.
There are a great number of Middle Eastern countries and peoples who are engaged in localized conflicts about who can control certain Middle Eastern territories. Some examples include: Israelis and Palestinians, Kurds and Iraqis, the various religious sects in Lebanon, the Alawites and Sunnis in Syria, the Egyptian and Sudanese government over the Hurghada Triangle, Turkey and Cyprus over northern Cyprus, etc.

Ironically, the Bridgestone Corporation (originating in Tokyo in 1931) owns the Bridgestone brand. The Bridgestone Corporation has locations that can be found all over the world, including Europe, the Americas, Asia, and the Middle East.
Oil deposits exist world wide. USA has it's own oil in Alaska and Texas mainly. The middle east owns much of the worlds oil supply though.

In the Holy Land, there is conflict between the religions as to who owns which sacred site. For example, the Dome of the Rock sits right where the old Jewish Temple was. Some extreme Jewish groups want to destroy the Dome of the Rock and re-build the Temple. Different groups want to claim historical sites for their own--such as Jerusalem.
The ethical breach is conflict of interest.
