Why did the Mount Pinatubo plates move?

Mount Pinatubo plates moved due to a movement of two plates, when two plates rubtogether they melt causing liquid magma. When the pressure builds or a sudden movement of two plates can cause an earthquake which allows the volcano to erupt. Mt Pinatubo rumbled for days then it erupted killing around people including several journalists. It sent a cloud of sulfuric acid into the atmosphere 20 million tons of it travelled around the equator for days, the particles reflected sun light and cooled the whole world by 1. Who ever wrote this first could not spell Plus didn't say why they actually MOVE (i.e. the question). They move due to convection currents. These occur from the heating process withing the core of the earth. Warm magma rises to the surface where it cools and sinks. This process is a flow (circular) and moves the plates.

What is formed when two ocean plate collide?

When tectonic plates collide and the direction of the forces is primarily perpendicular, the plates push up forming a mountain. The Himalayan Mountains are formed by the collision of two plates and are still growing. The summit of Mount Everest is, in fact, marine limestone.
