Although it is probably more accurate to state that the Mid Atlantic Ridge as a MOR formed parts of the North American, Eurasian, African and South American plates.

∙ 13y agoIt's 3 plates actually. The Nubian (African) plate. The Arabian plate, and the Ethiopian plate. They are all moving away from each other, pulling at East African, creating the Rift Valley.
