Calcium will form a covalent bond with sulfur. The difference in the electronegativity value is not very big(2.6 - 1= 1.6). Recall: greater difference= ionic bonding. The bond is only slightly polar.- has to be covalent

hint: this question is very tricky ( my explanation might not make sense- but it is correct) teachers love these kind of questions
