This is a tricky question to answer. GM recomends theirDEXcool coolant (the orange stuff). I was plagued by cooling system issues on my older GTP and after rebuilding my cooling system et al switched over to the 'Green' stuff.
The book tells you to use DEXcool and if you're still under warantee by all means use DEXcool. But I gotta tell you that ever since I've switched over from orange to green I have had zero issues with my cooling system. I didn't just make the change just to make it. Several mechanics, GM as well as non-GM mechanics, suggested I do this.
Just make sure you completely drain and flush your system of the DEXcool several times before you run green and you'll be fine.
