The manufacturer recommends a synthetic 5W30 or 5W40 engine oil which meets the particular VW specs. You'll need 4 quarts if it's a 1.8L 4-cylinder, or 6 quarts if it's the 2.8L V6 (or 9.5 quarts for the 4.0L W8!)
The 2003 Volkswagen Passat has double overhead cam (DOHC).
5W-20 is recommended
G12 nothing but G12
It is recommended to use 10 W 40 motor oil in a 2003 Chevrolet Tahoe engine. It is also recommended using 10W-30 motor oil in a very cold climate.
Go to a Reputable Parts outlet, they will have it on computer and tell you the exact oil it will require.. Do not use any other oil other than that recommended as it will ruin the engine.
I use Mobile 1
Answer: For a 2003 Dodge Grand Caravan, the manufacturer's recommended engine oil viscosity is 5W30. The engine oil capacity is 5.0 quarts (this applies to both 4 cylinder and V6 models.)
The recommended oil type for a 1973 Chevy 454 engine is 10w-30. This provides a good balance of lubrication and viscosity.
VW will tell you that you must use their specific yellow coolant. You don't. Just use the top of the line Prestone that is for all engine types. Don't add water!! It runs on pure coolant...
At least 91 Octane. The higher octane is to prevent engine knock- esp susceptible b/c of the turbocharged engine.
Check the Vehicle Emissions Control Information ( VECI ) decal located in the front of your engine compartment ( it will show the type of spark plugs to use and the spark plug gap )
