The locomotive in Anastasia is an MThB EC 3/5 Nr. 3 built in 1912 by SLM in Winterthur, Switzerland.

Don Bluth modified it by adding the smokebox door and smoke deflectors on the front from a DSB Litra R Class Nr. 963.

The bridge what the minions destroyed is The Landwasser Viaduct, which is also in Switzerland.

The Nord Express. It goes from St. Petersburg to Paris. And the engine was a French locomotive No. 45501 (changed to No. 2747) built at the Batignolles Creusot in 1924.
