Mercon V
there is hydraulic fluid reservoir for the fan... it's driven by hydraulic pump... and there is coolant reservoir...
where is the fuel pump relay located on a 2001 lincoln ls
by your
( one ) power steering pump , the power steering fluid reservoir is on the drivers side of the engine . There is a reservoir on the passenger side of the engine which is for the engine cooling fan hydraulic fluid . Both of the reservoirs take MERCON automatic transmission fluid according to the 2001 Lincoln LS Owner Guide
The automatic does have a fluid pump.
A water pump is not really a water pump. It carries the fluid, antifreeze/coolant, from the the reservoir to the radiator/engine to keep it cool. It is now referred to as a "fluid pump"
Assuming that your 2001 is the same as my 2000, the pump is atached at the bottom of the fluid reservoir. It does not need to be primed. --Ken
below the water pump in the bottom coolant line that goes to your water pump
Brake fluid can corrode your water pump. If you didn't start the engine after installing the brake fluid, then pump the reservoir empty, flush it with water and refill it with proper coolant. If you DID start it, you need to flush the whole cooling system.
The pump is on the bottom of the fluid reservoir.
There isn't one - They claim its not necessary to replace (ha) Either have fluid changed at a Dealer or at a Jiffy-lube or Quick lube place (they will pump it out via the lines that go to the radiator to cool the fluid)
On a 2001 Lincoln Navigator : The electric fuel pump is INSIDE the fuel tank ( it is installed from the top of the tank )
