It will soon be high gardening season in south Florida. The fall and winter is when do most of the growing here and commercial production of veggies hits high gear. Just about any veggie grown in the spring in temperate regions can be grown in the winter and fall. Just for starts, how about a salad garden. Tomatoes, lettuce, cukes, carrots and just about any thing else you like in a salad are all easy and late Sept and Oct are usually good time to plant. If veggies are not your goal there are many fruit trees suitable for south Florida. Mango, citrus, avocado and carambola all a fruitful and easy to grow if you have enough room.
