Line authority or function is a Direct or main function of an individual or department. It involves Direct and Legitimate Authority over subordinates. It decides what to do, and when to do it. eg., Production for a Manufacturing company. Staff Authority on the other hand is an assistant function as it guides line managers or functions into performing a specific activity. They are more specialized and therefore provide advice to Line authority. eg., Human Resource (HR) for a Manufacturing company.
Personal autonomy involves the responsibility of making your own decisions and being held accountable for your actions. It means having the freedom to choose your own path while taking ownership of the consequences that result from those choices.
Source inspection involves quality control at the production site to detect and correct defects as they occur. Employee empowerment involves giving employees authority to make decisions and take responsibility for their work. When employees are empowered, they can participate in source inspection activities, identifying and addressing issues in real time to improve quality and efficiency.
Possession of control authority or influence over others refers to having the power to make decisions, affect outcomes, or direct actions of individuals or groups. This can be achieved through various means such as having authority within a formal hierarchy, possessing expertise or knowledge, or having personal charisma and persuasion skills. Ultimately, it involves the ability to shape the behavior or choices of others in a significant way.

Abuse of authority involves using one's position of power to exploit or harm others, while covering up a crime involves hiding evidence or information to evade consequences. While they can be related, abuse of authority is more about misuse of power, while covering up a crime specifically involves misleading or obstructing justice.
Two kinds are original and appellate jurisdiction. Another two are "in personam" and "in rem" jurisdiction. Original jurisdiction is where the court hears the case at the trial level. Appellate jurisdiction is where the court hears only an appeal from the trial court. "In personam" jurisdiction is where a court has jurisdiction over the persons involved in the lawsuit and is empowered to deal with matters between them such as in a lawsuit on a debt or accident case. "In rem" is where the court has jurisdiction over the particular thing the lawsuit involves such as a particular piece of land.
