Volcanoes (i.e. volcanic cones - like Mt. Fugi or Mt. Kilimanjaro) are landforms.

Volcanoes are the product of volcanic activity and are one of a number of possible landforms that are produced as a result (e.g. caldera, flood basalts, dikes)

How was Honolulu formed?

The Hawaiian islands are the result of a hot spot beneath the Pacific Plate. Hot material rises from deep within the mantle and collects beneath the lithosphere. Some of it rises through the crust and erupts at the surface, forming volcanoes. Those volcanoes gradually build up into islands. As the plate moves over the hot spot the old volcanoes go extinct and new ones form.

How was the great valley formed?

It is formed by an upwelling of hot mantle material under the valley (which has elevated the land) and then split it as the hot mantle moves sideways away form the center of upwelling. This results in volcanoes and a Graben fault system (a rift valley) above the upwelling. Essentially the Rift Valley is the start of a new ocean - the two sides of Africa are splitting apart.

Why do Scientists believe that forces in the Earth's mantle move the Earth's crustle plates What do the arrows in the diagram represent?

The arrows represent convection and how magma flows through the mantle. When a divergent boundary is formed, the land sinks into the mantle and goes through the convection system.
