Dim sum is a cover-all term for a wide array of dishes in Chinese cuisine. The dishes vary in size, shape, taste and utilize a variety of ingredients which include both vegetables and meat like chicken, pork, beef, prawn, etc.
Depends on the type of Chinese food your making.
For example:
If you were to make you would use certain utensils like a "wok" which is a big Chinese bowl used for salads and mixing or sauteing and different seasonings and oils.
Some common ingredients would be:
Sesame Oil
Vegetable Oil
Rice
Curry ( also in quite a few Indian foods aswell)
eggs
noodles
dumplings etc.
That's just a few of the ingredients in some Chinese foods. If you'd like to know more, get recipies of the internet with more of what Chinese people use in their foods.
P.S - The common ingredients don't HAVE to be in every Chinese dish. ( I just gave a list of SOME of the ingredients in SOME Chinese dishes.)
Hope I helped and good luck!
well, alot of people in china uses pork in everyday dinner. because pork is cheaper that beef or lamb. Nearly 75% of Chinese doesn't own a oven cause they don't know how to operate it. And mainly they will cook stir-fries.
