Well ferrets are actually fairly quiet. But when they do make noises its fairly faint and the only times they really make noise is when eating or are upset.

How often do ferrets scream?

Ferrets scream when they are scared or VERY angry. they do not do this often unless you really annoy them. here are other noises they make and why: "Dook" (or a chattering noise)- they usually do this when playing or when they are having fun. Hissing- ferrets do this when they are mad. Squeaking- when a ferret gets hurt they will do this so stop whatever your doing to make sure they are OK, they will do this when they are playing but it gets out of hand then stop it but be very careful or you may get bit. Whining or Whimpering- this is when they are very hurt badly.
