I use synthetic 5w40 Rotella by Shell. You can get it at Walmart for about $4.50 a quart. You can use an ST3614 filter that Walmart sells. It costs a whole lot less than the Kohler filter. Avoid using the Fram oil filters that they sell there. You can also use other brands of oil, but I have had good luck with the Rotella synthetic. It should take 2 quarts.
