What is a good use for a pro form treadmill?
That's a tough question because Proform has made approximately 80 different models all named the 585, some are the 585 QS, or the 585 TL or the 585 Perspective(I believe that is the newest one). I can give you a general answer that sums it up for most proform treadmills. They are pretty good if you weigh less than 150 pounds. There better models are ok, if you weigh 150-200, and their best models are ok if you are up to about 240 pounds and don't run more than 3 miles at a time. It all depends on the size of the motor(in continuous horsepower) I would stay away from the cheapest proforms, the motors are too small for adults. If you buy one, be sure to use a surge protector and lube the belt twice a year. If you are bigger or a serious runner though, you'll want something more substantial. Be willing to spend 1500-3000 dollars. If you want the most bang for your buck below 1500, go to Costco and look for whatever treadmill they have for about 1000(without a built in TV) They currently have an ironman and a nordic track, the nordic track is a little better, and much nicer than a nordic track you could buy at sears for 500 more.
