The site glass on my 2000 bayou 300 is located on the right side of the engine as you sit on the bike, below the oil filler port. I'm surprised you found a "dipstick." My bike uses the site glass to determine proper oil level, thus a dipstick is not necessary. Oil is added at the oil filler port previously mentioned (a small black cap with words "oil, 1.7L" stamped next to it.
