I Like the "Metal Zone MT-2," made by Boss. Its got four controls to shape your sound, High, 2 Mids, and the low. Plus a level knob and a Distortion knob. Bing able to have that much control of the mids is a powerful thing for a guitar pedal. Theres alot of good pedals out there that's just a suggestion. I Common pedal is the Boss DS-1 and I know alot of people that like that pedal too.
As much as you wnt them to be from 100 + because with the right distortion pedal you can create any sound you wish but if you want a guitar that looks "heavy metal" then i would suggest a B C Rich as they are very cool looking from around £200
A wah-wah pedal is a pedal used for an Electric Guitar which imitates the sound of the human voice.
you can but it will sound rubbish
A DS1 pedal is a device that guitar players press down on with their foot. When they do this their guitar makes distorted noises and other sound effects.
To change the sound, For instance an overdrive pedal boosts the sound making it louder and clearer, where as a distortion pedal makes it louder but less clear.
A digital distortion pedal will sound better with analog delay than an analog distortion one because of too much warms added to the sound making it mushy and not crunchy enough. A sustain pedal adds a long lasting sound by squeezing down the sound and adding further crunch to your notes/cords. Distortion pedals: digitech, boss and danelectro make good metal type pedals. stay away from fuzz or "big muff" type pedals. any analog delay pedal: boss or cheap pedal will work. compresssor/sustain pedal: boss, frantone, alesis, sqeezer, miranda. you want more of a hard-knee type that is more extreme, not like electro harmonix or bbe. spend money on this!!
They one I've been playing with is a Dunlop Crybaby (original). I play only heavy metal and it works great. It really depends on what kind of sound you are going for. You have to experiment around and see what you like best.
The better Fender amps work splendidly for both purposes. I can think of even better amps for the "metal/effects" stuff, but they don't have anywhere near the clean sound of the Fenders.
A loop pedal is an effects pedal, usually for guitar, that can record a section of sound played on the instrument. It then plays back that section over and over, or for a set amount of repetitions. These can be useful when there is only one guitar player in a band that wants to play rhythym and lead guitar.
skip pitts on wa-wa pedal
The characteristics of a pedal steel guitar is the slide sound one gets that is unique and popular with country music. It It is a high tech version of the old steel guitar (lap and consol) but has foot and knee pedals.
in my opinion, an esp because it has more of a metal sound to it
