plant nutrient
For phosphates you can use molybdate solution but be careful it contains sulfuric acid.
Nitrates are mostly used in fertilizers in agriculture and farming. There are many text books and articles discussing nitrates, their uses and effects.
Nitrates are a major part offertilizers, so when we use fertilizers they get in the soil and from there to the underground water supply. The reason they usually get past the purification at the water plant is that nitrates are very soluble in water and very hard to separate
The predominant ones are nitrates, carbonates, sulfates, silicates, aluminates, and phosphates. There are several variations of the latter three of these types.
Because nitrogen and nitrates are not easily permanently bonded with other elements. As are for example, the silicates or the phosphates. Or even the oxides.
Minerals and chemicals
Fertilizers are not acids; they are phosphates, nitrates, etc.
Examples: potassium chloride, phosphates, nitrates.
a. fertilizers b. pesticides c. phosphates d. nitrates Nitrates is not the answer. so it's either a,b,c. probably B
phosphates, nitrates, potassium chloride, fertilizers with microelements, natural fertilizers Ex.: ammonium nitrate, urea, ammonium sulphate, sodium phosphate, etc.
Examples: chlorides, phosphates, nitrates, sulfides, vanadates etc.
David C. Reutter has written: 'Nitrogen and phosphorus in streams of the Great Miami River Basin, Ohio, 1998-2000' -- subject(s): Environmental aspects of Fertilizers, Environmental aspects of Nitrates, Environmental aspects of Phosphates, Fertilizers, Nitrates, Nutrient pollution of water, Phosphates, Pollution, Water
Nitrates and phosphates are fertilizers, and therefore if you have too much of them in a pond, it will become choked with an excessive growth of algae.
Fertilizers typically add nitrates, phosphates and sulfates as well as salts of magnesium, potassium and calcium. They may also contain micronutrients of other metals.
Examples: chlorides, nitrates, phosphates, chlorates, bromides, iodides etc.
Examples are: nitrates, phosphates, oxalates, stearates, selenates, sulfates etc.
