R134a. Open the hood and look on the decal above the radiator. It will tell you R134a.
134a
My girlfriend owns a 1994 323, and I am EPA certified for handling refrigerant. The 1994 uses R-12.
R134A!!!
Freon is the brand of a type of refrigerant. A 1994 Toyota 4Runner uses R-134a type refrigerant which is the modern fluid used in air-condition systems.
The 1994 Ford Escort LX uses R-134a Freon. This type of refrigerant was used in all Ford Escorts from 1994 through 2002.
Disposable refrigerant containers are only used for virgin refrigerant.
It should specify somewhere under the hood, but it should be R134a.
R- 12, gm didnt switch over to 134/a until 1994 model year
An A/C shop will know. The leak must be repaired before adding refrigerant.
134a is the refrigerant used by most vehicles made after 1995
Most 1994 vehicles used Freon 12 in the AC system, but they can be easily converted to the more affordable (and much more available) 134A refrigerant.
It is R134a. Please under NO circumstances use the refrigerant that has stop leak added. If you have to take it to a repair shop and need repairs, it will ruin the equipment that is used to recover the refrigerant. Also, you need to be exact in the amount that is in the system. There should be a sticker under the hood with all of the information on it.
