It depends on the fiction. In the "Blue Bloods" series by Melissa De La Cruz, they are called "Silver Bloods". They are called sanguines in the Therian mythos.
In "Vampire: The Masquerade" there is a trait called Methuselah's Thirst that means a vampire has progressed to such an age that human and animal blood no longer satisfies and they must consume the vitae of other vampires.
