∙ 12y agoAs far as commercial vehicles go, single vehicles with a Gross Vehicle Weight Rating of up to 26,000 lbs., and combinations with a Gross Combination Weight Rating of up to 26,000 lbs.
Class C CDLs are for vehicles which don't meet the weight criteria for a Class A or B CDL, but require a CDL still because they are a: carrying a quantity of hazardous materials which requires hazmat placards to be displayed or b: buses designed to transport more than 15 persons (including the driver).

∙ 11y agoYou need to specify which country this is in. Class 1 was a license class in Canada equivalent to a US Class A CDL for driving tractor-trailers, but the Canadians have restructured their licensing system since.
