According to the 1999 Lincoln Continental owners manual : It came from the factory with the Motorcraft BXT-65-750 battery ( that's BCI group size 65 and 750 cold cranking amps )
Measure it, and if it is the same size and the posts are oriented correctly it will work.
What size engine do you have?
225/60-16
5x114.5 or 5x4.5, they are the same pattern one is in mm and the other in inches. This was the size for '68-'72 Lincoln MarkIII and Continental.
When you go to buy a battery they can tell you the correct size.
26R
The group size is 58
According to one of Fords websites : For a 1964 Lincoln Continental : ( the only engine listed is the 7.0 liter / 430 cubic inch V8 )
Since the 1995 only had one engine size, you will find access to the thermostat under the car behind the passenger side wheel well. Follow your long lower hose to the passenger side and then up :-)
The only engine from the factory in a 1997 Lincoln Continental is the 4.6 liter Dual Over Head Cam , V8 engine ( 281 cubic inches )
20 U.S. gallons ( 75.6 liters )
