The best notebook computers are made by apple. The macbook pro notebook is the best laptop out there in my opinion. It is the fastest and the simplest notebook to use and understand.
Most notebooks use a SATA Hard Disk Drive for storage. Typical notebook hard disk size is 250 to 500 GB. For RAM, practically all personal computers use flash (solid-state) memory. Typical notebook RAM is 2 to 4 GB.
The problem with many notebook computers is that they run out of memory rather quickly. In fact, most people who purchase one of these computers find that its performance begins to deteriorate only months after purchase. And with memory loss, your notebook will not run as efficiently as it once did. That is why purchasing a pc 3200 memory module may be a good idea. This particular device easily installs into your computer, which increases its internal memory. After installation, you will find that you can still use your computer like you did in the past without worrying about losing its quality performance because of it.

Memory chip types are the general same as those available for PC Desktop system; however the physical form factor(height and shape) are NOT the same (you cannot use Desktop memory in a laptop.)It is best if you consult the laptop manufacturer to make sure you are purchasing the correct chip to use in any given laptop.

The computers from Dell have an Inspiron 6000 memory. To be more precise, all notebooks and desktop computers from the Dell Inspiron line can use this memory.
a computers memory can be improved by adding another harddrive on the computer and/or removing files that you dont use( do not remove files if you dont know what they are)
