-Humans benefit from plants because plants being producers are able to produce their own food and therefore, supply people with food. -Through a process called photosynthesis, plants give out oxygen while absorbing carbon dioxide. -This reduces the levels of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere as well as increases the oxygen content in the atmosphere.
Almost all plants benefit humans
Yes, plants do need Atmosphere to grow healthy
If there were no atmosphere, there would be no plants and animals.
Plants absorb carbon dioxide from the atmosphere.
They have increased the levels of the greenhouse gases.(Apex)

Plants use carbon dioxide, so there is less carbon dioxide in the atmosphere in the summer.
green plants / algae
Plants observe the water from the soil through the roots. extra amount of water will be evaporated through leaves in the form of water vapour in to the atmosphere
If there were no plants it is unlikely that there would be any atmosphere at all. Plants remove carbon dioxide (CO2) from the atmosphere and are a vital part of the carbon cycle. No plants would mean huge increases of greenhouse gases in the air and a runaway greenhouse effect. Animals on the other hand would make little or no difference to the levels of carbon in the atmosphere.
contamination of air, overgroth of plants, increased chances of fires, higher sea levels, more carbon dioxide (from fires), lower sea levels as the CO2 gets even higher, eventually if the trend continues you will have either a Mars or Venus left of Earth.
Increased carbon dioxide (CO2) in the atmosphere may increase the growth and yield of some plants. However, there may be drawbacks. A 2012 study has shown that wheat production (the world's most important crop) will rise through global warming, if there is enough rain, but the wheat holds less nourishment than before. The study included 43 field experiments with 17 different varieties of wheat, carried out in ten countries across four continents. They all showed the same result.See the link below.
Almost all plants benefit humans
An increased level of atmospheric carbon can have a massive impact on photosynthesis. It can boost photosynthesis in plants for example.
Plants started to grow on the earth, plants breath in carbon dioxide (which is why it decreased so much) and they breath out oxygen. That is why the percentage of oxygen has increased so much.
Plants can benefit from soil. One reason for this is due to the factor such as decomposion. As there plants live in decompostion this provides healthy nutrients for plants. (nutrient uptake) Therefore plants can benefit from soil.
