There is no minimum speed. Deployment is mostly decided by how fast the car accelerates or decelerates. You could be sitting still and hit from the side and they could deploy. The computer has numerous sensors it uses to determine deployment. There is no minimum speed. Deployment is mostly decided by how fast the car accelerates or decelerates. There is a problem with the safety restraint system. Fix or have it fixed immediately. The air bags could deploy when not expected or not deploy when needed. There are several airbag sensors (in the bumper and air bag). They usually fail due to a short to power or ground.
your car could have been hit by a freight train in the rear and the airbags would not deploy unless, of course, you hit something in the front after the rear end collision had already occurred. the sensors are in the front and are designed to deploy the srs units if the occupants are in danger of going forward not backwards as the case in a rear end collision.
The vehicle has to be traveling above a certain speed for the air bag to deploy. I believe it is 35 mph. It could be more.
If the car is off and no one hits you the airbag should not deploy. If you are driving and stopped at a traffic light and someone hits you, the airbag could possibly deploy depending on the impact of the accident.
Yes, it is possible for an airbag not to deploy when going 35 miles per hour. If the hit was not forceful enough at that speed, it will not deploy because it could do more damage than good.
Usually it is combination of the speed sensor information or ABS sensors. There is usually a sensor behind the front bumber that also senses impact. If this bumber is hit usually it doesnt take a whole lot to deploy it. If your air bag warning light is on then the clock spring (located in the steering wheel and could go bad without warning)could be bad. Also there is a computer for the airbag system that it usually in the middle of the dash area near the floor or some where behind the dash.
How could you use inverse operations to divide larger number
DONT! Take it to a gm dealership. I dont even recommend a repair shop because if they install incorrectly, it wont deploy. If you try removing it yourself, it could deploy and kill you.
If you mean a "hall effect" sensor, there could be a couple different types on your vehicle. Camshaft sensors and crankshaft sensors along with abs wheel speed and transmission speed sensors could be hall effect type sensors. You need to ask for the sensor by application.
Generally it could be faulty sensors or module.... try cleaning the sensors on the wheel first..the sensors area magnetic,it can collect metal particle and block the signal..
CEFs are redesignated DEFs if alerted to deploy, while RC CEFs are redesignated as DEFs whennotification of sourcing to deploy occur. (If a contingency develops, your unit can change from CEF to DEF.)
