What is the parsecs of the bellatrix star?

The "Amazon" star, Bellatrix, has a surface temperature around 40,000*F and has a mass ten times greater than that of our sun!

What factor does each magnitude of star differs?

The differences of star temperatures is very great. For example, three of the stars we know well:are Sol (our sun) with a temperature at the photosphere of 5,778° KBetelgeuse (a red dwarf) with a temperature of 3,140–3,641° Kand Bellatrix (a white dwarf) with a temperature of 22,000° K

How are the brightness and temperature related?

brightness and temperature are both related because brightness is actually tempature. However the system has become more refined. Instead of just looking at the star and determining magnitude one or magnitude two, an astronomer measures the brightness of the star using a device called a photometer. The photometer counts the number of photons coming from the star. This photon count is then compared to the photon count from a star whose magnitude is known. An accurate magnitude can then be calculated.

What is the color and the temperature of the star Alnilam?

Alnilam is a blue-white super giant star, with a surface temperature of around 27,000 Kelvin.

Why is absolute magnitude stars used in the HR diagram?

The equation for the magnitude of a star is; M=m-5log(d/10) where:M - Absolute magnitude (The brightness of a star viewed 10 parsecs away)m - Apparent magnitude (The brightness of a star as viewed from Earth)d - Distance from the star (Pc)

How does a star's temperature affect its absolute magnitude?

The absolute magnitude of a start will increase both:* If its surface temperature increases, and * If its diameter increases.

What is the difference between apparent magnitude and surface magnitude?

The two types are apparent magnitude, the magnitude of a star as it appears to us, and absolute magnitude, which is what a star's apparent magnitude would be at a standard distance of ten parsecs.

What kind of star has an absolute magnitude of 10 and a surface temperature of 20000 K?

white dwarf.

What is a graph that shows the relatonship between stars surface temperature and its absolute magnitude?

That is called the Hertzsprung-Russell or HR diagram and each star occupies a point. The horizontal axis is temperature and the vertical axis is the absolute magnitude.

The temperature of a star is actually the temperature of what?

the surface of the star.

What are the two main properties that astonomers use to classify stars?

The surface temperature and the absolute magnitude, which is the brightness of the star when viewed from a standard distance of 10 parsecs.

What three factors determine the magnitude of star?

The apparent magnitude of a star is dependent on the star's size, temperature and distance from where it is observed. An absolute magnitude is determined by the same three factors, but the distance is fixed at 10 parsecs.

What is the surface temperature of the Acamar star?

About 7900 degrees Celsius, surface temperature.

What is the parsecs of the bellatrix star?

The "Amazon" star, Bellatrix, has a surface temperature around 40,000*F and has a mass ten times greater than that of our sun!

What graph shows the relationship between a star's surface temperature and it's absolute magnitude?

You need to do this. It is homework and we don't have the graph . You teacher is looking for your critical thinking skills and not ours.

Is the size of a star the only factor that setermines its absolute magnitude?

No. I assume you mean the star's diameter. The area is proportional to the square of the area - so the bigger the star, the brighter it will be - other things being equal. However, the star's surface temperature also affects its brightness.
