The most damages in china are caused by Hurricanes Typhoons and cyclone.
There is a brief question about cyclone but I'm just going to do the introduction.
What is a Cyclone?
A cyclone is a heavy wind that spins around (northern hemisphere) and damages
environment. In order for a Cyclone to happen the water needs to be at least 26 degrees. Above the warm ocean the clouds are formed, it pulls and begin to rotate (spins). It starts to spin, that's how cyclone continues.
The most deadliest typhoon to hit Hong Kong was Typhoon Wanda in 1962. Typhoon Wanda had killed millions of people and destroyed many houses. It was very difficult to recover the damage of Typhoon Wanda.
Typhoon Ondoy made a big damage, and then next is Pepeng.
Much of the damage caused by Mount St Helens was blast damage from the initial explosion. This explosion was projected northward out of the side of the volcano, unlike other explosions, which have most of their force directed upward. Most of Pinatubo's damage was caused by ashfall, which was exacerbated by heavy rain from Typhoon Yunya, which impacted the Philippines during the eruption.
A tropical cyclone in the China Sea is most commonly called a typhoon.
As of August 2012, the most recent typhoon to strike Asia is Typhoon Kai-tak (Helen), which affected the People's Republic of China, the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, and Laos from August 16 to 18. Typhoon Tembin (Igme) formed on August 13 and is expected to strike the Republic of China (Taiwan) in late August.

the Devon hurricane - yet mat not exist, explained here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Hurricane_Devon/Archive2Therefore being the most dangerous its:From: http://www.ranker.com/list/10-biggest-deadliest-most-destructive-hurricane_s-ever-/jeff419"10 Biggest, Deadliest, Most Destructive Hurricane's EVER!!"2nd worst - Typhoon Nina 1975"Not to be known as some regular typhoon Super Typhoon Nina came onto the scene with a bang, hitting China hard and quickly destroying the Banqiao Dam. The collapse of the Banqiao Dam led to such great flooding that it set off a series of dam collapses throughout China, greatly magnifying the damage caused by Typhoon Nina. With a 100,000+ death toll Super Typhoon Nina is the 2nd deadliest Typhoon in recorded history though we think it should be #1 since the most deadly typhoon, which hit Haiphong, Vietnam in 1881, didn't even get a name."

A tsunami caused most damage in 2004
Most of the damage caused by tornadoes is the result of extremely powerful winds.
The Bhola typhoon, occuring in Bangladesh, is the most deadliest typhoon on record. It cost over (USD 2009) $490 million damage. It also had a death toll of aorund half a million people.
Most damage in a tornado is caused by the extremely fast winds.
The largest Pacific tropical cyclone on record, and in fact the largest and most intense tropical cyclone ever recorded in the world, was Typhoon Tip in October 1979. At one point its panned nearly 1,400 miles across. This storm produced heavy rain on numerous small islands in the Pacific. It made landfall in Japan at category 1 intensity and caused damage in portions of Japan and China. Many docked ships and boats were destroyed and there was severe widespread flooding. A number of areas experience landslides triggered by the rainfall.
Depends. If by worst you mean "largest lost of life", then the most recent storm would be 1975's Super Typhoon Nina. Nina's rains caused a major dam burst in mainland China, releasing a 30-foot tall wall of water over many tens of miles. It is estimated 229,000 people were killed. A typhoon that hit China in 1780 is believed to have caused about 100,000 fatalities. The #1 storm, a typhoon that hit Vietnam in 1881, may have caused 300,000 fatalities, making it the deadliest typhoon in history. "Dishonorable" mentions go to 1997's Tropical Storm Linda, with 1300 fatalities in Vietnam, and 1991's Tropical Storm Thelma, which killed 5,000-8,000 in the Philippines. In these cases, the storms were weaker, but the rains were torrential.
