According to a poll, the American Nazi Party is among the leaders in terms of members associated with Nazism.
Being a "Nazi" as per the policies of Adolph Hitler, is also being a fascist. However, there is a huge gulf between "normal" fascism and Nazi style fascism.
The first country in the 20th century that was a fascist one was Italy under the dictator Mussolini. His party gained power almost directly after WW1. His style of fascism, bad as it was, did not include exterminating people. He destroyed political opposition but he and his fellow Italians were certainly not Aryan types at all.
Under Hitler's total package, Italians would rate as "inferior people". His alliance with Italy and Japan was for political reasons. Hitler also had no use for Japanese people either. They were not Aryan.
As an aside, just before Berlin hosted the 1936 Olympic Games, Hitler was reminded that in 1940, Japan was slated to host the Games. His remark to Albert Speer, was a racist one.. and it meant that because Japan was not Aryan, the Games were not going to be hosted there.

Retired Associate Justice of the Supreme Court David Souter is a Republican. He was born in 1939 in Melrose, MA.
The difference is that a political party is part of how a politician is identified and interest groups are groups that focus specifically on certain issues. Depending on the issue interest groups tend to support a political party. For instance the NRA which is for less strict gun control laws associates themselves with the Republican Party. An interest group that is supportive of equal rights for all Americans would associate with the Democrat Party.
Generally if you are meeting other members of a political party the term used in Canada (and most other commonwealth countries)as well as the United States is "caucus". However, this could also be referred to as a "delegation" (in the context of a party convention) or a "outreach" (in the context of party solicitation of supporters).
In 1860 there were few African Americans who were leaders. It wasn't like it is today. They had no political power and couldn't vote.
