the valve connected to the low pressure side of the AC pump. generally, this will be the hose that is larger in diameter (looking at the metal part of the hose where it connects to the pump, not necessarily the rubber part, since it's outside diameter may be larger due to reinforcement for high pressure, while having an actually smaller diameter inside).
if you plan on putting R-134 in instead of the original R-12 (which is getting harder to find) & nobody has done the conversion yet, you can get a conversion kit from most auto stores that will include the necessary adapters, oil, and all of the R-134 needed to completely fill your system. you wont be able to put R-134 in without the conversion due to the different type of connection, if ones never been done on it yet.
It is either on or near the recievr dryer in the right rear of the engine compartment. To corrrectly add freon, you need gauges and a refrigerant recovery system
You have to add a valve to the dehumidifier in order to put Freon in a GE dehumidifier. The reason you have to add the valve is because dehumidifiers uses a sealed unit.
You can add a tapping valve(which almost always leak after a long time) or braze in a schrader valve.
Freon is a very touchy thing to work with. The EPA bans its release into the atmosphere, so only experts and professionals know how to add and subtract Freon from the car safely. Take your car to a mechanic or a Chevy dealer for this.
There is one valve that is used to add refrigrant. But you had better not add Freon. Freon is R12 and your vehicle's A/C system does not have Freon (R12) as a refrigrant. More than likely it uses R134a.
where is low pressure valve on a 2005 ford 500? i am trying to add freon
The low pressure charging valve is on the accumulator........
The schrader valve on the low pressure side of the system.
When you open the hood, on the left side there is a skinny pipe and you will see a valve with a green cap. This is where you put in the freon. When you buy the frion, it should come with a hose that just pushes on to the valve and shoots the freon into the pipe.
Connect a freon gauge and tank to the low side ac port of the 97 DeVille. With the engine running and the ac on high, open the freon valve. Shut the valve when the ac gauge reads full.
Through the schrader valve on the low pressure side.
Where is the intake valve / connector to add fron to my 2005 Kia Optima, with a 2.7l ^-cyclinder?
