There are even 4.2 V6 and 5.6 V8 Cummins engines made prior to 2007 which will fit... 4BT conversions are pretty commonplace, although, if you have a Dakota from a year with all electronic controls, there'll be lots of electronics issues to overcome. Keep in mind also that it's highly illegal to swap an older model engine into a newer model vehicle which wasn't originally sold as a glider kit.
