the cummins. Hands down. if you said any dodge older than a 2005, I'd go with the duramax, but the trannies in the 05 and up dodges are much better, and you cant beat a cummins for power and reliability.
Wix 51970 will get you to where you need to go.
If your pully is damaged. Take it off and find the part number. Call Cummins and order it. If you don't have a pully to go by. Call Dodge with your truck serial number or Cummins with your engine serial number and they can trace it.
You can go straight to Cummins for it and pay new price or try e-bay or another on line type of site. I've had good luck on e-bay.

Won't be an easy fit.. the Cummins is an inline six, with a much longer block. You'll almost certainly have to go to electric fans.
It is reverse threaded. You go clockwise to loosen.
