Yes, they both use the 4L60E transmission.
4L60E, more specifically the Early Model 4L60E, in 1999 gm introduced the Late model 4L60E, which had a redesigned case that is not compatible with the early model 4L60E
NO. They are not even close. Will not interchange.
It might fit, but it won't be compatible. The 99 Suburban had an electronically controlled 4L60E, whereas the 1982 350 engine is mechanical, and does not have the ECM necessary to operate that 4L60E transmission.
It'll fit, but it won't work - the 4L60E is an electronically controlled transmission, whereas the 4L60 (itself simply a rebadged 700R4) is a mechanically controlled transmission. 1992 was the last year mechanical transmissions were used in these vehicles.
No , the 4L60E is an automatic transmission that GM uses
Those are the ONLY 2 years that will interchange as long as they both came out from behind a V-8 or V-6
As long as the transmissions are of the same type, the 1997 4L 60e and the 205 4L 60e tramissions should be interchangeable.
NO. The bell housing is DIFFERENT. The 1996 and 1997 4L60E / 4L80E transmissions will not interchange with anything else.
4l60e
NO. The computer system / ECM. Engine controll module on that year truck requires a 4L60E from 1992 to 1995 and then to 1998 to the early month of 1999 to be installed ONLY.If you install any other transmission in it, the engine won't run right and the transmission won't shift.
NO.. Not even close. The 4L60E is a computer controlled transmission/ELECTRONIC transmission and the 700R4 is not.
