NO. The computer system / ECM. Engine controll module on that year truck requires a 4L60E from 1992 to 1995 and then to 1998 to the early month of 1999 to be installed ONLY.
If you install any other transmission in it, the engine won't run right and the transmission won't shift.
4L60E Transmission.
YES they are.
The 1/2 tons used the 4L60E ONLY. The 3/4 tons used the 4L80E ONLY.
My 93 has a 4l60e. A 95 should have the same. It look like a 700r4 but it computer controlled.
No. 1995 was a transition year from the 93-94 OBD1 to the 96 and up OBD-2.
300
They were not used on that year model. The 93 transmission is computer controlled. Time to take it to a transmission shop.
4r70W.
There's ONLY 1. That is the 4L60E transmission because of the computer system that the 93 has in it. 4-wheel and 2-wheel drive transmissions will NOT interchange.
4l60e
The 3/4 tons MUST have the 4L80E put in them.1/2 tons MUST have the 4L60E put back in them. The Reason is because of the computer system that's in the truck will not operate Any other type of transmission. These are the years that will interchange as long as they are 4-wheel drive transmission. 1992 to 1995 then it jumps to 1998 to 1999. 96 and 97 will not work. bellhousing is different.
No it will not work. If the 93 is a 1/2 ton then it MUST have the 4L60E transmission put back in it. The 3/4 tons used the 4L80E in them.
