The version of Ave Maria¹ from the West Wing episode "The Crackpots and These Women"² was composed by Franz Schubert (D. 839) and performed by Fiona Jessica Wilson³ with the Choir of Trinity College, Cambridge. It was recorded in March 1993 with organist Philip Rushforth and choir master Richard Marlow.

This track can be found on two albums: Allegri - Miserere⁴ and Miserere - Choral Favourites by Trinity College Choir⁵. Be aware that both albums also contain an entirely different composition called Ave Maria, performed by Andrea Cockerton⁶ with same choir. This second Ave Mariais a Charles Gounoud composition (CG 89a) superimposed upon Prelude and Fugue in C major (BWV 846) by Johann Sebastian Bach.
