There seems to be a new type of flu/cold going around and it's nasty. The symptoms are upper and lower respiratory congestion; excessive nasal mucus and chest congestion. Breathing is raspy and difficult due to nasal mucus drainage to the lungs; sleeping is difficult because of wheezing and gurgling sounds. I'm on my 10 th day of this; there seems improvement.
I took my husband to the dr and he was given augmentin 500 mg, plus claritan d and was told to take musinex. He has a heart condition but was given claritin anyway which made his heart race. Do not take claritin D if you have a heart condition. We were also told that this was not contagious but guess what, I caught it!
