Voltage has nothing to do with making a plug operate. If you are asking about a power plug on an appliance or device of some type, it is connected to a wire which typically is then connected to the device. You get power by inserting the plug into a receptacle. The connections inside the receptacle contact the prongs of the plug and typically provide 120 volts across the two bladed prongs of the plug and the rounded prong is ground.
There are all types of applications that have different types of plugs and connectors, so the answering community is just guessing what you are trying to find out. Try and be more precise in your questions and you will get better answers.
Yes, but you may not be happy with the results, unless your turntable has the capability to run at twice the normal voltage and 83 percent of the frequency.
In North America the answer would be no. The pin configurations for voltage and amperage all differ. This is so that an under voltage or under current device can not be used on higher amperage's and voltages.See related links below.
no you can not switch a 240v plug with a 110v plug.... if a plug is installed on an electrical apliance there is a reson for it! switching a the plug on an apliance to one of the wrong voltage will result in the equipment either not working or being damaged, and in the worst case could even result in death by electric shock!always talk to a qualified electrition before under taking any electrical ulterations to existing apliences.

3 pins plug
Need more info. There are three pin plugs at a wide variety of voltages.
Need to know voltage and type of plug to answer this question.
Round 2-pin; 220V AC
Plugs are based on the voltage in use and the amperage of the device that the plug is connected to. Without the voltage and amperage this question can not be answered properly.
What is the voltage? 120V the right blade with the blades facing you. 240V both.
The local current is 220 volts and ground connection is made by a 2 pin plug.
Walmart, Target, and maybe shopko

The three pin plug is grounded (provided the receptacle is wired correctly).
It depends upon what type of plug that you are talking about. There are many configurations of plugs. The one that you are probably referring to is a 2 pole 3 wire grounding plug. To correctly identify the "phase" pin a voltage and amperage must be stated. It will fall under one of three designations L5, L6 or L7. By Convenstion the right side pin is supposed to be phase or hot pin. Left side pin is neutral. Top side pin, which is slightly larger and bit longer is for grounding. This convention is applicable in India.

Would that be the smallest pin. To answer this question the specifications of the plug will be needed.
