Alexander the great was not killed in a war. the exact causes of his death are unknown. Historians have proposed malaria, typhoid and alchohol poisoning as the cause of his death, and possibly even murder, but it was not investigated. He just had convulsions for ten days and died. The war happened just before his death. He conquered the Persian empire.
