How was world war1different than any earlier wars?
WW1 is different than earlier wars because the way in which the war was fought. The Allies of the British Empire, France, Italy and Russia (the USA later on) and the Axis powers of Germany, the Austro-Hungarian Empire and the Ottoman Empire dug trenches on "fronts" which became stationary points ina conflict. Because of the way of fighting battles new technologies had to be developed so WW1 was the first conflict with early forms of tanks and poisonous gases. Hope this helps :)
