Great Britain took control of what is now the US State of Florida in 1763. This was a deal whereby it was in exchange for Havana Cuba to Spain after the Seven Years War. Britain divided Florida into East and West Florida. As part of end of the American Revolution, Britain evacuated Florida, thus ending "British Florida" in a manner of speaking.
Dominion of British West Florida was created in 2005.
Dominion of British West Florida's motto is 'Dieu et mon Droit'.
