Christopher Columbus was an explorer during the Age of Exploration. He had a theory in proving that the world's circumference was not as great as others thought. By proving this theory, he would said sail west instead of east to reach Asia. However, Christopher Columbus realized that this expedition would be very expensive. He asked Queen Isabella to finance the voyage. After much persistence, the Queen accepted to pay for the exploratory expedition.

Horrible! He was responsible for the deaths of thousands of them, he spread diseases which wasn't exactly intentional so u cant count that, but he murdered a ton of them and paraded their dismembered bodies around and he burned children and he raped the women too. I'm not kidding my teacher told us this. They tried to stand up for themselves first but that didn't exactly work out and he took a ton of them into slavery as well.

She had a recommendation from Father Juan Perez , who was her confessor. She was convinced of the genius of this man who wanted to sail west to find the East Indies. Columbus wanted to find China, Japan, India and the Spice Islands in particular. She knew that he could bring back spices and silks plus help Christianize other parts of the world. She went to her husband, who had already rejected Columbus' proposal and convinced him to join her in accepting and sponsoring the mission and by April 1492 the first agreement between the Spanish Crown and Columbus was signed. There is no evidence that she loved him personally. She did love his ideas.
